I'm curious which would be the most popular character classes in future versions of Daimonin...

Oh yeah Im all about the Worrier.  With evil trees, tape worms, four and five stat poisons, theives, KS'ers, there is just soo much to "worri" about.  My finger nails are chewed to the quick, my nerves are shot, I havent slept well for weeks, is that a lump in my chest?!?.. crap.. I think I have cancer....

Yup, no prob... You know, i think that if you don't post again on a new thread (as it moves the edit down to the last reply you posted in the thread), you can edit your first post and therefore change poll options.

Pally here too. Always loved that class for some reason.
Maybe it has something to do with all that fundamentalism that comes with having made up your mind when it comes to how the world works, or what is true and what is not. I can't help but ponder if that makes life a lot easier since you don't have to think about anything really if you're a fundamentalist. You've already got the answers, and they were served on a plate (or in a book)... brilliant.

Or maybe it's just 'cause they can fight (gotta love PH!) and also heal. Nice combo for those of us who tend to make strategic choices. ;-)

As for why Dwarves aren't in this poll I would, personally, consider them a race, not a class. Maybe that's just me though. :-P

Anyways, Ya'all have a great day now, ya hear?

Yes I consider dwarves a race too.
And some classes could be both, good or evil aligned.
And of course I'd added some more classes, but I want to keep this poll kind of simple.

And and and.... I can't wait to play a new character here like a druid or paladin!

New races and classes have been discussed several times previously and MT plans to implement them.  If you want them with B4 release, that's gonna slow it down even more.  If instead you want them by 1.0, B4 can get here quicker.  Obviously, some kind of warrior, some kind of mage, some kind of priest will be available sometime in B4 (perhaps even at release) with the guild system MT is introducing.  Once that is setup and debugged, it will be fairly quick and easy to add new classes/guilds.  Adding new races will be fairly easy as well, just time consuming with balancing and any other minor adjustments (such as changing a max value for a read integer).

thanks for that comprehensive info Longir.

with B4 just do one step after the other, we guys can wait a bit for all those nifty new classes I think.

What I really like about Daimonin is it's supreme quality. In measures of quality this is no beta any more. so please let us inpatient ppl talk and keep up the good work   :D

I chose theives, without theives, many security camera makers would go out of business. That ruins the economy.

One class I found to be absent was that of Ranger... Granted, archer could be considered very similar, I think that Ranger should be noted as a class in and of itself.  It would be considered a mix of Hand-to-Hand, Archery, and Healing spells/abilities... What do you guys think?

yes, Ranger is close to archer.  as stated above, I wanted to keep the choices simple so I concentrated on the "main flavours".
